To the family of Kenny Guinn. There are no words to soften the sorrow that you are enduring. My prayers and thoughts are with you at your time of need. Please know that he will do a great job in the future years at his resting place in heaven.
I recently had dinner at Macaroni Grill on Sahara and Kenny and his lovely wife Dema were sitting in a booth across the room from us. I wanted so bad to go over to talk with him but I didn't want to interrupt their dinner. I am sorry now that I did not speak to them. I am a retired CCSD employee and I knew him while he was in my opinion one of the greatest Superintendents ever.
God be with you and your family.

What a sad news of the passing away of Nevada's Former Governor Kenny Guinn! My heartfelt and deepest condolences to his wife Demma Guinn and his family. May his soul rest in peace. Amen.
I have a very pleasant personal experience as a common citizen and a cherished memory of the day I and my friend, Claudett Bohannon, met them early morning of 8/9/2004 in Carson City while hovering around the Governer's Mansion with our cameras... Mrs. Demma Guinn approached us, shook hands with us and upon hearing of our interest to take their pictures, she went to the vehicle where The Governer was poised to leave, and lo and behold! he was so gracious to come to us and let us photograph them right there! I was so happy and excited and humbled by his graciousness as I could never have expected such an experience in any other country...ONLY IN AMERICA!

To the Guinn family;
My heart broke today when I heard of the passing of Mr. Kenny Guinn. I grew up with Mr. Guinn as a role model, and father to one of my childhood friends Jeff. I will never forget the impact that he had on my life, and on the thousands of other lives that he affected in such a positive way. Please accept my heartfelt saddness for your loss. Dema, Jeff, and Stephen and your families - my prayers and thoughts are with you.

I was fortunate enough to attend school in Clark County when Mr Guinn was in charge of the school district. In 1973, a classmate's father was one of the POW's being released and we had a homecoming ceremony for him at the our school, Fremont Jr High. Not expecting that he would have time with his busy schedule, we invited Mr Guinn to attend our little ceremony. Not only was he gracious enough to attend, but Mr Guinn also spoke at the ceremony. At no time did we feel that we were taking up his precious time, time that I'm sure he could have been doing something else - he made not only our honoree feel special, but those of us kids who partcipated felt special in his eyes as well. Through the years, I had contact with him in different capacities over the years and he never changed; he was always an honorable person and it was always an honor to be in his presence. My heart and prayers go out to his family and I pray that God will strengthen them through this difficult time. God obviously needed another Angel. Rest in Peace, Kenny.
With Love and Sympathy,

My thoughts and prayers go out to Kenny Guinn's family at this difficult time. I met him when I was on the PTA board at Halle Hewetson school during his term as school superintendent. He was so dedicated to the students and education. If I recall correctly, he gave his phone number at the meeting and told the parents to call him if they had a problem to discuss.
Sincerely,

When Kenny Guinn was governor I was going through middle school and high school. Never got to meet him. But I know that it was his work that got me a chance to go to college with the millenium scholarship. I live next to Kenny Guinn Middle school. I think I'll leave a flower there.

Kenny Guinn allowed me to go to school and paid for what I wouldn't have been able to afford. I never looked too much into politics but he definitely had the upmost respect from my family and I. This city will mourn the loss of a great and well deserving figure. My family and I send our deepest condolensces/
